MEET LISA CHUN
I’m Lisa - artist, poet, maker working from a studio in Northern California. Raised in Los Angeles and shaped by years in Santa Fe, I work where paper, time, and the inner voice meet. Most pieces begin as a poem in my notebook - a line, an image, a rhythm - and then move into the studio as objects and images. Guided by intuition and the memory held in found materials, I make work for the awakening heart: art that helps you slow down, hear yourself, and feel what’s true.
✤
I create hand-marbled and hand-dyed papers, collage reliquaries, small-batch oracle objects, junk journals, and prints. Materials are slow and tactile: rescued 1800s ephemera, vintage herbarium pages, maps, antique handmade lace, Japanese papers, and silver-gelatin photographs I printed and toned by hand. These pieces are made to be touched, used, and lived with. Collectors tell me the work feels grounding and luminous - a companion through seasons of change and a prompt to listen inward. Originals and limited releases are numbered and made in small batches so quality stays high and the work stays personal; museum-grade prints are also available. My art has been featured in regional and national publications, and I’m grateful for the generous collectors and readers who make this possible.
