The words in this collage remind me of these lines from a William Stafford poem (A Ritual to Read to Each Other):
“For it is important that awake people be awake,
or a breaking line may discourage them back to sleep”
For a while I was actively collecting bird feathers like the one in this image. At some point a friend gave me some blue feathers that came from a parrot belonging to a well known author - I cannot remember if this is one of those feathers. But it doesn’t matter! They are all so beautiful. Very often when I’m walking I’ll encounter feathers in such a way that they are like signs.
